Hardwood Floors Refinishing & Maintenance

Most Wood Floors can be successfully refinished by a process that, if done correctly, can increase the value and life span, provide protection, improve safety and finally give the floor a more pleasing appearance.

We use state of the art equipment, whereby the sanding process will not create high amounts of dust or noise. At the same time, our highly trained staff will ensure the highest safety of your furniture and valuables.

Preparation

Special attention will be given to all areas that need to be taped off and protected. Paint spots, stains, and black heel marks will be hand scrubbed and scraped to remove all blemishes possible.

Machine Cleaning

All wood flooring will be machine, floor scrubber equipped with a silicon Tynex brush. This stiff nylon brush with different length bristles will completely strip the floor removing all wax, dirt, and grime. All edges and corners will be hand scrubbed. This cleaning method will not harm the wood flooring and all of the cleaning chemicals are biodegradable and environmentally safe.

Cleanup and Rinse

After the wood floors are stripped clean all of the solutions are removed. The floors are then given a complete mopping and thorough rinse with neutralizing solution.

Vacuuming

When the wood floors have completely dried they are vacuumed with an Electrolux Olympia Vacuum cleaner with a 3 layer dust filter. This will insure a perfectly clean floor for the application of the wood floor sealers and finishes.

Re/Finishing

Now that all the wood floors are clean and dust free the first coats of Pacific Strong Urethane will be applied. This coat will take approximately 45-60 minutes to dry. The second coat will then be applied to all the wood flooring. As the porosity of wood varies additional coats may be needed to achieve maximum shine.
